Tanglewood Moms Buy/Sell Groups New Rules!

We started the Tanglewood Moms Buy/Sell groups several years ago, never dreaming they would become so popular! As the membership has grown, the needs of the groups have grown. Today, we go live with the first major update to the rules we’ve ever had.

To give everyone a chance to familiarize themselves with the groups, we’ve posted them here.

Rules for TWM Home Décor + Furniture, Baby & Toddler, and Kids Age 5+

1. This group is for buying/selling [insert items here]. All other items will be removed. Repeat offenders will be removed and blocked from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups. Cross-posts must be tagged.
2. To buy, comment “Want” or “Sold” on the post. “Interested” or “Need/Pending More Details/Info” isn’t a hold. Sellers MUST wait 24 hours for the first person who said “Want” to respond before moving to the next person. NO SALES THROUGH PMs ALLOWED.
3. Once someone says “Want/Sold,” both the buyer AND the seller are committed. The buyer can’t back out. The seller can’t back out. ANY offender will be removed and blocked from all TWM Buy/Sell Groups.
4. Once a buyer has said “Want,” they have 24 hours to arrange a pickup time with the seller. After 24 hours, the seller can move on to the buyer.
5. There are not payment restrictions, and they are at the discretion of the seller. The seller must post what type of payment is accepted. The buyer should not pay until the time of pickup.
6. If you’re located outside the 5-mile radius from Tanglewood Elementary, you MUST deliver or meet the buyer. If you are outside the radius, please include that you’re willing to deliver/meet in your post. You cannot ask for shipping costs.
7. No ghosting (buyers and sellers). No auctioning. No upselling (purchase and then turn around to sell at a higher price). No piggybacking (posting a similar item in the comments of a post).
8. No business posts. No real estate posts. No garage/yard/estate sales. No spam posts. All will be removed and repeat offenders will be removed and blocked from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups.
9. Unless there is something DRASTICALLY wrong with the item or it was maliciously misrepresented in the post, all sales are final. That is if an item doesn’t look good in your home, it’s still yours.
10. Above all, be kind. Be patient with each other. Give people a reasonable amount of time to reply – not everyone is on Facebook all the time. Observe the Golden Rule. We’re all in this together!

1. This group is for buying/selling ONLY high-end designer fashion and accessories. No Target, Old Navy, Walmart, etc. Items MUST be freshly washed/dry cleaned. Cross-posts must be tagged.

1. We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
2. This group is for pet-related posts only – adoption, rehoming, lost pets, questions, etc. All other posts will be removed and repeat offenders will be blocked from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups.
3. Please remember this group is supportive. This is NOT a place for judging and debating issues like re-homing. Repeat offenders will be removed from the group.
4. No business posts. No real estate posts. No garage/yard/estate sales. No spam posts. All will be removed and repeat offenders will be removed and blocked from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups.
5. Breeder questions ARE allowed.
6. No puppy mills. Period. Any puppy mill posts will be removed, and the poster will be blocked from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups.

Rules for Tanglewood Moms & Dad Automotive Buy/Sell

1. This group is for buying and selling automobiles, motorcycles, RVs, campers, and related accessories ONLY. Other posts will be removed. Repeat offenders will be removed from the group. Cross-posts must be tagged.

So there we are. Please read the updated rules for all the groups you belong to. There will be a week’s grace period while we all adjust, but repeat offenders will be removed starting on Monday, October 12. Please note that repeat offenders of all rules will be removed and blocked from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups, including the original group, so pay attention!

To report a ghoster, please take screenshots of the conversation. We cannot do anything without screenshots.

Also, please note that the administrators are NOT mediators for disputes between buyers and sellers. We not only administer these groups, we also have “real” jobs and families and are helping our children with online schooling. Broken rules can be flagged. The posts will be removed if they break a rule, and repeat offenders will be removed from ALL Tanglewood Moms groups.

We all want the Buy/Sell groups to be both profitable for you and a pleasant experience for all. Please remember the Golden Rule and treat others as you would wish to be treated.
