2024 First Free Fri-YAY Dates
For the fifth consecutive year, North Texas Healthy Communities (NTHC) and Fort Worth Bike Sharing are partnering to provide free all-day bike rental passes on the first Friday of each month throughout 2024. Residents and visitors can pick up a classic or electric-assist bike at more than 60 Fort Worth Bike Sharing stations and pedal their way around the city. Whether you’re a regular cyclist or a casual rider, these no-cost passes offer a great way to get outside and move naturally.
Riders can access the free passes by using promo code 92020APP on the BCycle app when checking out a bike. Locations are listed on the station map on the Fort Worth Bike Sharing website. Bikes must be docked back in and checked out every two hours to avoid accruing extra charges.
The 2024 Free First Fri-Yay dates are:
January 5 | February 2 | March 1 | April 5 | May 3 | June 7 |
July 4 & 5 | August 2 | September 6 | October 4 | November 1 | December 6 |
Cycling is a great way to reduce stress and live an active lifestyle. The Free First Fri-YAY pass can be used to commute via Fort Worth’s bike lanes, run errands, or just explore city trails. Plus, riding with a group can help build bonds with friends and family.
Since it began in 2020, Free First Fri-YAY has provided 1,620 free full-day ride passes. Fort Worth Bike Sharing now provides access to more than 390 bikes at 62 stations across the city, including 133 electric-assist bikes. Among those are seven classic “bikesy” bikes featuring colorful, custom-painted designs by local artist Gerald Bell
NTHC is a well-being outreach arm of Texas Health Resources, the largest healthcare provider in North Texas, which implements Blue Zones Project in Tarrant County and other initiatives across the community. Free bicycle rentals are one of the ways NTHC supports living a healthy lifestyle that focuses on overall well-being.
