Celebrate at Second Thursdays at the Carter
Three new installments of Second Thursdays at the Carter will be adding interest to weeknight plans in the months ahead.
Second Thursdays is a FREE monthly event at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art (the Carter) where visitors can connect with art through cocktails, conversations, and creativity in the heart of Fort Worth’s Cultural District. Just like the art on the Carter’s walls, these events are always changing, so each visit offers something new. This season, enjoy exclusive artist talks, live music, specialty cocktails, art making, and more.

The next three events in the series will bring highlights from the Museum’s collection into focus. April’s Drink & Draw is a perennial favorite of visitors, featuring sketching in the galleries, while May’s Toasts & Tunes takes full advantage of the space, with activities spread throughout the Museum and outside, with live music and dancing on the Porch. Finally, June’s Portrait’s & People event will center on the Carter’s iconic portraits by Richard Avedon, 40 of which will then be on view in Richard Avedon at the Carter.
