The concert is 2 to 4 p.m., part of the CMSFW season, Subtle Connections Across The World. The Pre-Concert Conversation starts at 1:15 p.m. Mr. Levinson adds context and insight to the repertoire’s composers and music.
The repertoire includes:
- Antonín Dvořák — Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 87
- Ernest Chausson — Concerto in D for Violin, Piano and String Quartet, Op. 21.
Mr. Weiss has performed with major orchestras in prestigious venues and at music festivals around the world, including New York, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and more.
He debuted professionally with the Cleveland Orchestra in 1999. One month later, with less than 24 hours notice, he was invited to replace André Watts in a performance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
A prolific recording artist, Mr. Weiss released last February the third and final album, Arc III, of his recital trilogy, featuring the music of Brahms, Shubert, Debussy and others.
