Christmas Capital of Texas Kicks of 2025 Season
Experience the magic of the Christmas season as Grapevine’s Historic Main Street comes alight with millions of twinkling lights at the 37th Annual Carol of Lights presented by Grapevine Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.

The complimentary event will take place Monday, November 24 from 4 – 8 p.m. This beloved tradition is the official kickoff to the Christmas Capital of Texas® festivities featuring more than 1,400 events over 40 days.
Historic Main Street will be closed to traffic, as attendees take in all the fun activities, photo ops, live music and Santa Claus himself. The Carol of Lights is a come-and-go event, allowing guests to stroll Main Street at their leisure.

Enjoy food and wines from locally owned restaurants and winery tasting rooms and check off that Christmas gift list while perusing Grapevine’s charming boutiques and unique shops. Visit Grapevine Main Station and ice skate at Peace Plaza Ice Rink sponsored by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine, check out the views from the Grapevine Observation Tower and enjoy food at Harvest Hall’s eight international kitchens before popping in the Holly Jolly Bar at Third Rail.

OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS ON HISTORIC MAIN STREET
Get ready for Grapevine’s 5th Annual Merry & Bright Christmas Drone Shows, presented by Harvest Hall, Hotel Vin and the Christmas Capital of Texas®. The ten-minute show will feature 400 drones creating Christmas magic over Historic Main Street as synchronized carols play. This enchanting event is another highlight of the season. Happening Mondays, December 1 and 8 at 7 p.m.
Don’t forget the 46th Annual Parade of Lights. The largest lighted Christmas parade in North Texas will take place on Thursday December 4 at 7:00 p.m. This year’s theme is Storybook Parade.
Santa’s North Pole Express® takes off Friday, November 28 at Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Just outside the platform, the Grapevine Christmas Market is an all-new shopping experience in the Historic Cotton Belt Depot District featuring great stocking stuffers and tasty treats for all.

PARKING AND STREET CLOSURE INFORMATION
There is free parking throughout Grapevine’s Historic District. Visitors are encouraged to carpool or leave the car at home and use Trinity Metro TEXRail or DART Silver Line (which connects with TEXRail at DFW Airport/Grapevine North).
In efforts to improve pedestrian safety, Historic Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from the intersection of Main Street and Northwest Highway to the intersection of Main Street and Dallas Road during the following dates and times:
- Carol of Lights | Sunday, November 23 from 1 p.m. to Monday, November 24 at midnight • Thanksgiving weekend | Friday, November 28 from 6 a.m. to Monday, December 1 at 9 p.m. (this closure will remain in place through Monday due to 5th Annual Merry & Bright Drone Show)
- Parade of Lights | Thursday, December 4 from 1:30 p.m. to Monday, December 8 at 9 p.m. (extended through Monday for second Merry & Bright Drone Show)
- Friday, December 12 from 6 a.m. to Monday, December 15 at 6 a.m.
- Friday, December 19 from 6 a.m. to Monday, December 22 at 6 a.m.
- Friday, December 26 from 6 a.m. to Monday, December 29 at 6 a.m.
