Doing Good in a Big Way
Grammy-Award winning artist Leon Bridges and legendary football coach Gary Patterson announced that they are bringing THE BIG GOOD back to Fort Worth on March 30, 2023. The annual fundraiser is proud to continue supporting their three beneficiary partners: The Tarrant To & Through Partnership, UpSpire, and United Community Centers. The 2022 event resulted in more than $1 million raised.
The first annual BIG GOOD event took place in April 2022 with an exciting live auction, local business popups and a headlining concert by Leon Bridges. This year’s event promises to match last year’s excitement with the steadfast commitment of Bridges & Patterson to THE BIG GOOD’s mission.
Gary Patterson said, “Fort Worth is home for me and Leon. To see this project be so successful in its first year gives me a lot of hope for how it will continue to change the community as we grow over the years. We are excited to support these important organizations and the individuals they serve.”
This year, THE BIG GOOD presented $250,000 grants to each of their beneficiary partners from the 2022 fundraising efforts. To continue the work and maximize change in the organizations, THE BIG GOOD is proud to continue partnerships with all three beneficiaries.
“As we move into next year, it is going to be really cool to start seeing how our partners are putting the donations to work,” said Bridges. “Meeting with each beneficiary, hearing their plans, and meeting with their teams and the clients they serve, well that is what this is all about for us. We have such trust in these organizations, we know they are going to do amazing work, and we can’t wait to continue helping them grow.”
“We are really excited to get our donors and supporters involved with the work our partners are doing,” shared Kelsey Patterson. “We are working together to identify different volunteer and educational opportunities for anyone interested to jump in and get involved. We encourage everyone to head to our website to learn more.”
