Fort Worth Loaded the Buses

Imagination Fort Worth’s “Load the Bus” fall fundraiser was held on September 11, 2024. The cocktail event was hosted by Katherine and Patrick Polenz at their home in Ryan Place and raised funds for art-related field trips in Fort Worth ISD.

Imagination Fort Worth (IFW) is a 36-year old nonprofit that supports and expands arts access for students, teachers, schools, and local arts organizations. This event was the organization’s first since the pandemic and highlights IFW’s commitment to Fort Worth students – even as the landscape has changed over the past 4 years.

During the event, IFW shared its goal to load 152 school buses with kids from Fort Worth ISD to attend arts-related field trips. Every child deserves to experience our city’s world-class visual and performing arts – and for many kids, school field trips are their only opportunity to do so. Imagination Fort Worth is helping fill the gap created by budget cuts and other challenges to ensure our kids can have these impactful learning experiences.
