“Free First Fri-YAY” Program Celebrates Halloween Weekend
Texas Health Resources and Fort Worth Bike Sharing are choosing treat over trick this Halloween by expanding their monthly Free First Fri-YAY bike rental offer to a long weekend of free bike rides.
Residents and visitors can pick up a classic or electric-assist bike at more than 60 Fort Worth Bike Sharing stations and pedal their way around the city absolutely free. The program is designed to help people get moving and explore city parks and neighborhoods.
Frighteningly Free First Fri-YAY bike rentals will be available from Thursday, October 31, through Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Riders can access the free passes by using promo code 92020APP on the BCycle app when checking out a bike. Locations are listed on the station map on the Fort Worth Bike Sharing website. Bikes must be docked back in and checked out every two hours to avoid accruing extra charges.
Cycling is a great way to reduce stress and live an active lifestyle. The Free First Fri-YAY pass can be used to commute via Fort Worth’s bike lanes, run errands, or just explore city trails. Plus, riding with a group can help build bonds with friends and family. This is the fifth year that Texas Health, through its Texas Health Community Hope initiatives, has supported Fort Worth Bike Sharing with once-a-month free access. Since it began in 2020, Free First Fri-YAY has provided more than 2,200 free full-day ride passes.
