Girls Inc. to Throw College Shower
Girls Inc. of Tarrant County (GITC) is hosting its annual College Shower on Wed., July 16, celebrating a milestone achievement for deserving high school graduates.
This heartwarming event, similar to a wedding or baby shower, unveils a room full of gifts donated by generous community sponsors. These gifts, ranging from laptops and microwaves to essential school supplies, are designed to equip the girls with everything they need to thrive in college.
This year, 28 graduating GITC participants are being recognized for their dedication. They have consistently participated in GITC’s programs including summer camps, college prep workshops, STEM initiatives and college-focused activities.
