Local Musicians to Feature at Block Parties
Hear Fort Worth and Dickies Arena have announced a groundbreaking collaboration to spotlight local and regional musicians and bands and will offer a unique platform for local musicians to gain exposure and connect with wider audiences.
“Fort Worth has an unexpected trove of local music, and Visit Fort Worth is thrilled to partner with Dickies Arena to showcase our talented artists in a big way,” said Bob Jameson, president & CEO at Visit Fort Worth.
Throughout the summer, Hear Fort Worth and Dickies Arena will invite musicians and bands to play on the Simmons Bank Plaza during the Block Parties before concerts at Dickies Arena. Patrons must have a concert ticket to enter the Simmons Bank Plaza. Featured musicians come from a broad range of genres, from country and blues to rock and jazz.
“This partnership with Dickies Arena is an incredible opportunity for local musicians to showcase their talents to expanded audiences,” said Tom Martens, director of the Fort Worth Music Office. “Fort Worth’s music community thrives on collaboration, and this is the perfect example of that.”
Musicians scheduled to date include Frenchie’s Blue Destroyers before Kid Rock’s concert on June 24th, Andrew Sullivan before Bryan Adams on June 29th, Averi Burk before Paramore on July 8th plus many more to come.
“We are excited to work with Hear Fort Worth to create opportunities for local artists,” said Matt Homan, GM and President of Dickies Arena. “This partnership will not only provide great exposure for these locally talented musicians, but it will also reinforce that Fort Worth is a hot bed for music innovation and creativity.”
