May is the prime month to enjoy the iconic Rose Garden with hundreds of buds and flowers in every color. Want to relax and unwind as you reconnect with nature? Take a walk through the winding paths of the Japanese Garden, one of Texas’ most peaceful places.
Or maybe, events and activities are more your speed. May’s lineup is packed with outdoor experiences and family fun for all ages.
Dinosaurs Around the World | Through May 30
May is the last chance guests will have to tap into their inner paleontologist and explore FWBG’s larger-than-life dinos before they go extinct! Exhibit is included with regular admission.
Dog Days | May 4 & 5
The sights and smells of spring aren’t just for Garden guests of the two-legged variety, treat your canine bestie to a stroll in the Garden too! Hydration stations for dogs will be provided by FWBG across the campus. Regular admission applies to humans, and dogs are an additional $5 per pup.
Spring Market | May 4, 9 am – 4 pm
Shop local! The annual Spring Market is free to the public and will take place in Carter’s Grove, the lawn in front of FWBG’s Garden Center. A variety of on-site vendors will be hosted by Wandering Roots Markets.
Free Admission Day | May 10
In honor of the first day of National Public Gardens week the FWBG is offering free admission for guests on May 10. Free entry applies to general admission, not special events.
Mother’s Day | May 11
This Mother’s Day, give Mom a gift that keeps on blooming all year long – a membership to FWBG! After Hours in the Garden | May 17, 6:30 p.m.
Don’t miss the last after-hours event of the spring season! Guests will enjoyan adult beverage and delicious bites in the Garden’s beautiful Beggs Courtyard, followed by an intimate performance by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in FWBG’s Lecture Hall. The all-strings performance will sample music from playful compositions by Leroy Anderson and William Grant Still, as well as classics by Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, and Elgar. Admission ranges from $18 for FWBG members to $25 for non-members.
