North Texas Community Foundation Names Director of Community Impact
North Texas Community Foundation welcomes Whitnee Boyd, Ed.D. as the director of community impact. As the newest addition to NTCF’s leadership team, Dr. Boyd will build on the foundation’s legacy of strategic and effective philanthropy.
In her role, Dr. Boyd will oversee the direction and implementation of the foundation’s grant cycles to create positive outcomes for North Texas. In 2023, these grant cycles made gifts totaling $1.5 million to 127 local organizations. Dr. Boyd will also work collaboratively with partners, stakeholders, and community members to address the unique needs of our region, implement strategic initiatives, and drive long-term sustainable impact.
Dr. Boyd expressed her excitement about the new role, stating, “working alongside the community is where I find joy and purpose. I see this role as an opportunity to continue this important work of driving transformative impact. I look forward to working collaboratively with the team at the North Texas Community Foundation and our partners to make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.”
With over a decade of experience, Dr. Boyd comes to the Foundation from BRAVE/R Together where she has served as the director of strategic initiatives. During her tenure, she spearheaded the Community Ambassador Program and cultivated partnerships with various stakeholders. In an earlier role, Dr. Boyd served as the coordinator of special projects for the Office of the Chancellor at Texas Christian University.
Dr. Boyd is actively involved in the community and holds board leadership positions at the National Juneteenth Museum, Leadership Fort Worth, Center for Transforming Lives, and the Tarrant County Continuum of Care. She was recognized on the Fort Worth Business Press’s list of “40 Under 40” in 2022.
Dr. Boyd holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville, a Master of Art in higher education administration from Louisiana State University, and a Doctorate of Education from Texas Christian University.
