Sensory Explorations at the Carter
This October, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art (the Carter) invites families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum to explore and enjoy American art in a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment. Sensory Explorations: Powerful Patterns takes place on Saturday, October 10, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., offering an inclusive morning of creativity and connection.

During this free, drop-in event, families can connect with artworks in the galleries; play and learn with Carter Community Artist Dizzy Orbit and her wearable sculptures; create a colorful prism collage inspired by Gabriel Dawe’s Plexus no. 34; and visit with community partners TCU FACES, Elliott’s Voice, and Platicas AzulesFW to learn about local resources.
