Cruise Through 2021 in a Volvo XC60 from Autobahn Fort Worth!
2021 is finally here – the year we have all been waiting for since the beginning of 2020. With each new year comes new beginnings: a new start, a hopeful heart that somehow, someway, things will be new and improved for the coming year.
If the new year has you searching for a reliable, spacious, comfortable, and safe vehicle for you and your family, Autobahn Fort Worth is here to help! Autobahn Volvo gave me a sneak-peak into the world of 2021 driving by introducing me to the 2021 Volvo XC60! For those of you who have followed along with me on these test-driving opportunities, you know I have never been disappointed, and the XC60 is no exception!
This was my very first time to drive a Volvo, but I was keenly aware that there are a bunch of diehard Volvo fans out there. I have friends who have held onto their Volvos for years (some are pushing 300,00 miles!), and now I see why. There are so many things to love about a Volvo.
Reliability is one of the characteristics my Volvo friends always talk about, but as a mom of two teenage girls, safety is the number one priority for me. According to Danny Rayes, a wonderfully kind and helpful Volvo Sales Manager for Autobahn, safety IS one of Volvo’s top-rated features. The XC60 features a blind spot information system with active steer assist, cross traffic alert with autobrake, low- and high-speed collision mitigation that detects vehicle, pedestrian, cyclists, and large animals, as well as a lane keeping aid, to name just a few of the safety features of this beautiful car.
Honestly, I’m just utterly blown away at how these new cars almost drive themselves!
The interior of this elegant SUV is nothing short of luxurious with its wood deco inlay, Napa leather upholstery, an open-and-tilt panoramic roof to view big Texas skies or Colorado mountain tops, a user-friendly infotainment screen, and plenty of space for our family of 4 to endure any amount of mileage in our future. I’ve mentioned the importance of a good sound system in every test-drive article I’ve written, so how could I leave it out of this one?! Trust me, it’s incredible.
I’m not going to get all technical on you regarding the driving experience, I’m just going to tell you in simple “Jennifer terms” that it was super sweet to drive. I felt like a rockstar! It drove with beautiful precision and response. I took comfort in knowing the driver-assistance features would protect me from the distracted drivers around me.
One of my husband’s favorite parts of the car are only apparent after nightfall. The “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights (referring to the look of them) rotated with every turn I made. For me, this feature made driving at night a completely different experience, and I felt safer.
My friends, in a year that was filled with so much stress, believe me when I say, Autobahn Fort Worth was a golden nugget of joy each time I had the privilege of test-driving one of their cars for Tanglewood Moms and Madeworthy magazine. Despite the changes made by state-mandated safety protocols, this is a dealership that has not forgotten who they are. They hold themselves to an incredibly high standard of customer care, and it is exceptional, even through the ups and downs of 2020. When you are ready to make the leap into a new car, Autobahn Fort Worth is ready to help!
Thank you, Danny Rayes and all my new friends at Autobahn Volvo and Autobahn Fort Worth! Madeworthy and the Kietas look forward to driving through 2021 with you!
