My New Autobahn Crush!
I can’t believe a whole year has passed since I first met the welcoming people of Autobahn Porsche Fort Worth! My very first Tanglewood Moms test drive was the 2020 911 Carrera Convertible, a red-hot sports car with so much swagger I was a bit intimidated standing next to it, forget about driving it! However, within minutes of pulling out of the dealership, I felt empowered. Like a rock star.
Most of that surprising confidence came from Zoran, the general manager, who made me feel completely at ease when he took me through the car’s paces. It wasn’t complicated, and man, it was FUN!
To celebrate our year anniversary, Autobahn Porsche let me test drive the 2021 Cayenne Coupé, an elegantly streamlined version of the Cayenne SUV. In my completely nonprofessional-everyday-driver opinion, the way the Coupé feels on the road is almost exactly like the way the 911 Carrera feels. The only real difference is that my family could join me in the Coupé! It’s the best of both worlds: a superior sports car for the whole family.
Shane, my Autobahn Porsche Sales Professional, gave me the rundown on the innovative features of the 2021 Cayenne Coupé. Just like all the other Autobahn sales professionals, Shane was patient, kind, thorough, and super-excited for me to experience the Coupé. He handed me the key fob with a big smile on his face, and I was off on my next Autobahn adventure!
One of the Coupé’s special features is a “sports response” button. It’s the magic key that unlocks the true athleticism of the Coupé. With the sports response engaged, I glided along the highway (never, of course, speeding because I would never speed!), moving safely away from inattentive drivers, taking every turn smoothly with an abundance of stability. The ride was luxurious while being strong and agile.
(Side note: The Cayenne Coupé also comes in an E-Hybrid model. With today’s gas price rollercoaster, this is a big plus, as the performance of the Coupé stays constant.)
In addition to the outstanding performance, the aesthetics of the Cayenne Coupé are equally impressive. “My” Coupé was black on black with a deep black exterior and a buttery-soft black leather interior. The high-definition infotainment center is incredibly easy to use – not overwhelming at all. It was clear and user-friendly.
If you’ve followed my Autobahn posts, you know I’ve mentioned the sound system in every car I’ve test driven. Music runs through my veins, and every epic ride needs an equally epic soundtrack! The Coupé’s sound system is state-of-the-art. Every genre of music I played just fit. A small-but-cool feature: every time you put the Coupé into reverse, the sound system turns the music down, enabling you to concentrate on what is happening around you. (There is a myriad of HD cameras on the Coupé’s exterior to assist you, as well.) The thoughtfulness of the safety features is exactly what you would expect in such a technologically advanced car as the Cayenne Coupé. It is a Porsche, after all!
The driving experience is amazing. It’s hard to write about it without gushing! If you’re looking for an upgrade to your current ride, you NEED to go to Autobahn Porsche. It’s located on what I call The Boulevard of Car Dreams, and my friends at Autobahn Porsche will make your dreams a reality. Trust me, there are no high-pressure sale techniques at Autobahn – just a love of cars and a desire to make sure that their customers are completely satisfied. These people truly believe in their product.
Thank you, Autobahn Porsche Fort Worth, for allowing me to dream a little dream of luxury. I have a new car crush!
