The Future of Fashion
Fort Worth fashion lovers, mark your calendars! Fort Worth Fashion Week 2022 is almost here.
Phillip Maximilian, the genius behind the bespoke menswear business and driving force behind Fort Worth Fashion Week, spoke with MW/TWM today. “Fort Worth Fashion Week runs from February 21 through February 27.”
“We scheduled right after New York Fashion Week,” Maximilian said. He’s also planning on another week in September.
Through Fort Worth Fashion Week, Maximilian is bringing the city’s creative energy to fashion. “Fort Worth has become a creative incubator. We’re just bringing that platform to fashion,” said Maximilian.
Fort Worth Fashion Week will not just be models walking the runway. It will integrate musicians, artists, and restaurants with local designers, brands, and boutiques. “We’ve had so much support from the community,” said Maximilian. “We’re bringing together different parts of the city, different communities and industries.”
“Fashion is transitioning, and we’re reflecting that,” Maximilian said. “We’re highlighting a new generation of models and photographers who are bringing a new vision to fashion. We’re incorporating 3D digital art, sort of life NFT [non-fungible token – a “digital asset associated with an item of value that can be bought or sold… as an image, video, or audio file,” according to Dictionary.com] for the fashion world. It’s not just about the fashion show. It’s about incorporating the fashion world into the fashion of Fort Worth.”
Stay tuned for more from Maximilian and Fort Worth Fashion Week in the coming days.
