Happy February, friends of the Fort! I love this month and all that it celebrates, from Valentine’s Day to crawfish boils, Mardi Gras and marathons, AND Black History Month… February is a month filled with a lot to commemorate. Read along to see this month’s list of family fun events!
Tails and Taters Crawfish at Landmark Bar and Kitchen
February 6, 2021 at 12 pm (every Saturday of February)
Join Landmark Bar and Kitchen every Saturday throughout the month of February as they boil up mud bugs every Saturday! Once a month they will spice it up a bit and offer peel and eat JUMBO shrimp, and the fan favorite Snow Crab legs. Come join the fun and check out their flavored butters! Cajun, Lemon Pepper, and Spicy, are sure to add that flavor blast!
PetSmart Adoption Event at Montgomery Plaza

It is the season of falling in love! The Humane Society of North Texas adoption trailer will be at the PetSmart in Montgomery Plaza Saturday & Sunday, from 10 am – 3 pm full of fluffers looking for their forever homes. Stop by and adopt your new best friend!

Ballet Frontier Presents Swan Lake
Friday, February 13th at 7:30 p.m. and February 14th at 2:00 p.m.
Ballet Frontier brings the iconic and hauntingly beautiful classical ballet Swan Lake to Fort Worth this Valentine’s Day at I.M. Terrell Performing Arts Center. Due to COVID-19, this production is one of the few professional ballet performances this spring. Tickets start at $25 and are available now at balletfrontier.org.
2021 Panther City 5K, 10K, Half & Full Marathon
February 20, 2021 at 5 am – 21, 2021 at 2 pm
Panther City will host the 5K and 10K on February 20th of 2021. The next day on February 21st they will host the Full Marathon and Half Marathon distance on the Trinity Trail System. The Trinity Trail System is easily accessible to runners, spectators, volunteers, and medical personnel. Due to the current CDC and the State of Texas guidelines, they have decided to make this a two-day event and cap each respective race distance to avoid overcrowding the trail. A Night of Black Excellence at Fort Worth Opera
February 21, 2021 at 2 p.m.
“Fort Worth Opera’s celebration of Black History Month is long overdue and appropriate in this time. Gretta Hendricks is a multidisciplinary creative who has been a chocolatier, baker, birth-doula, performance artist, and freelance writer, although her favorite job to-date has been becoming a first-time mama to her beautiful rainbow baby, Ofelia, born in January of 2020. Gretta has enjoyed writing for as long as she can remember and is passionately interested in the ways she can both learn and share from the art of storytelling. Alongside her husband and daughter, she loves living in and exploring Fort Worth as well as pouring into her church and local community.
