ABCs of Babysitting for Teens

Fort Worth Public Library – Meadowbrook
Do you have a tween or a teen who wants to be a better babysitter? This four-hour workshop, in partnership with the Fort Worth Fire Department, will include hands-only CPR training. Kids who complete the program will receive a babysitting essentials toolkit to help launch their babysitting journey.
Dallas Black Dance Theatre and the FWSO: Mozart and Stravinsky

Bass Performance Hall
Founded in 1974, Dallas Black Dance Theatre has performed for more than four million people worldwide. Be there when they partner with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and music director Robert Spano in Bass Performance Hall for Stravinsky’s Petrushka Suite with choreography by Sean Smith, a balletic take on the story of Punch and Judy fame, with its whirling, folk-inspired melodies, and high-stepping harmonies. Also on the program are a pair of Mozartian gems, the Overture from The Magic Flute, as well as the esteemed “Jupiter” symphony.
First Friday at the Modern

The first Friday of each month, the Modern and Café Modern team up to bring you live music from the First Friday House Band, and drink specials and tasty light bites in the museum’s Grand Lobby from 5 to 8 pm. Invite friends to enjoy a unique opportunity to experience the Modern in the evening. Café Modern and Executive Chef Jett Mora will be serving a light dining menu in the lobby. Specialty drinks along with beer and wine will be available at the cash bar, with happy hour selections.

A Houston native, Robert Earl Keen has been regarded for decades as one of the Lone Star State’s finest singer-songwriters. His latest album, Western Chill, available now via boxed set which includes a double sleeve album, a graphic illustrated novel inspired by the album, a play and sing-along songbook for all fourteen songs and a video DVD of the Robert Earl Keen Band performing the entire album at Keen’s Snake Barn studio space. He is also the host of the Americana Podcast, launched in 2019.

Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic the Musical is ‘breathtaking’ (the Guardian) and ‘magnificent’ (the Telegraph), a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of her passengers who each boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own.
