One of the reasons I started Taking Roots is I have always been passionate about trying new things. As a wife and mother, there’s something beautiful about bonding with my family over living simply. Practicing sustainability in our home on a daily basis is something I aspire to do every day, and I love sharing it with my children. One of the delightful traits that children have is that they remind us to slow down and enjoy the little things. With every new adventure, I am very intentional about connecting with our past.
History has so much to teach us, not only about the past, but things we can incorporate into our lives in the present and future. From learning how to make homemade butter with my husband in Texas, to squeezing fresh juice in my hometown El Salvador, I always hunger to learn from my roots while connecting them to the rhythm of our life today.
I hope you enjoy this journey we are on!
