Calling All Photographers!
The Fort Worth Film Commission and Fort Worth Camera are partnering to create new workshops for filmmakers at the Fort Worth Foto Fest.
Fort Worth Foto Fest, held May 14 – 22, features over 40 events including hands-on workshops covering topics such as screen-printing and light painting, presentations from industry experts including Ted Forbes and Roxanna Redfoot, and photography experiences on WWII-era aircraft.
Festival events are open to all experience levels with ambassadors and staff members on-site to answer questions. Attendees do not need to bring professional equipment to participate.
“Our goal is to make the festival bigger and better each year,” said MacKenzie Hughes, Fort Worth Camera General Manager. “Our partnership with the Film Commission helps us to reach a new audience.”
The Film Commission supported new festival additions including: Music Video Production, Next Level Cinematic Lighting and An Evening with Prelude Film, all hosted at Lowtown Studios.
“The Foto Fest offers the creative community an educational and fun way to build new skills and make local connections,” Jessica Christopherson, Fort Worth Film Commissioner said. “We are excited to partner this year and promote this unique festival.”
Guests traveling from out-of-town are invited to book a room at the Hilton Garden Inn Fort Worth Medical Center at a discounted festival rate.
A selection of events are offered free with a reservation. Capacity is limited. Tickets to each event are sold separately and available at FortWorthFotoFest.com.
