Casa Mañana Announces Postponements
Casa Mañana has announced that it will postpone the Broadway and Children’s Theatre productions that were scheduled to begin in August 2021 in order to keep the audience, the performers, and Casa Mañana’s staff safe.
Mainstage productions were originally scheduled to begin in February with Matilda the Musical, which had been postponed since the beginning of the shut down in March of 2020.
Reid Cabaret Theatre on the Mainstage productions will continue through the spring and summer. Audience members sit at tables of 2, 3 or 4, spread out across the stage. Adjustments have been made so that audience members are only sitting with their respective parties, and the number of tables is limited. Performers, limited to 4 or 5, are spread out across a stage that has been built over the first few rows of the original seats. Staff follow strict sanitary guidelines, including health screenings prior to coming to work, and wearing gloves and face masks. Performances do not have an intermission.
