Keeping the Heart of Tarrant County Strong
The American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health for all, is going beyond the table to further the commitment of the annual Heart of Tarrant County Heart Ball. The digital celebration on Friday, June 4 will feature performances by Multi-Platinum, seven-time Grammy winning country trio, Lady A.
Community members, medical professionals and corporate leaders are expected to attend the live virtual event from living rooms all over Tarrant County to support and celebrate the heart-healthy organization’s mission.
“Our vision for Heart of Tarrant County and the Heart Ball is to expand the mission of the traditional Heart Ball to move beyond the gala table,” said Emile Blaine, executive director of the Tarrant County Division. “The Heart of Tarrant County campaign takes philanthropic efforts beyond the ballroom, working daily to help every heart, improve the struggles of our neighbors and increase the impact of community partners.”
During the June 4 digital celebration, guests will have the chance to bid on silent and live auction items and support the American Heart Association’s mission through Open Your Heart. Virtual partygoers will hear musical performances by country trio Lady A.
Heart disease and stroke can affect anyone at any time. A life is claimed every 80 seconds by cardiovascular diseases but nearly 80 percent of cardiovascular diseases can be prevented. Funds raised through the year-round Heart of Tarrant County campaign go directly toward cardiovascular research and heart health educational programs both in Tarrant County, to improve the health and well-being of our communities, and nationwide.
