Texas Ballet Theater Collaborates with TCU & TVS
Texas Ballet Theater (TBT), whose facility suffered catastrophic damage in February’s winter storm, will relocate its Fort Worth school’s 2021 summer programs to Texas Christian University (TCU) and Trinity Valley School (TVS).
The nonprofit ballet company will collaborate with these local institutions to provide its annual programming for students from preschool to pre-professional levels, ages 3 to 21. The Ballet Basics and Junior Intensive programs will take place at TVS, while TCU will host the company’s national-scale Summer Intensive for pre-professional dancers.
“We are so grateful to both Texas Christian University and Trinity Valley School for their commitment,” TBT Executive Director Vanessa Logan said. “With the extraordinary collaboration of Elizabeth Gillaspy at TCU and Clare Pritchett at TVS, we can continue to provide the high-caliber, enriching programs our students and participants look forward to each summer.”
Summer programs begin June 7, with sessions occurring throughout the summer until August 6. Registration is open for Ballet Basics, for ages 3 to 6, and Junior Intensive, ages 7 to 14. Admission to the Summer Intensive is by audition only. Students can participate at the alternate locations in Tarrant County or at TBT’s school facility in Dallas County.
