Let’s Read! is a reading program offered to students entering grades 1-4. Students will work on grade-level reading skills like reading fluency, comprehension, spelling, and writing through a researched-based phonological awareness program. Each student will receive an individualized plan for the camp which is possible because each session only has 3-4 students. There will be a screening for every student that will help us identify and isolate the skills we need to focus on. This is a great way to catch up on skills and instruction missed because of school closures in the spring or to make sure your child is ready for school this fall! Dates and Times: July 27th-August 7th. Session 1: 8:30am-10am Session 2: 10:30am-12pm Session 3: 1:00pm-2:30pm Fees: $450 plus a $30 screening fee Location: At the home of Emily Williams. COVID 19 Note: Every child and family’s safety and health is an ultimate priority. Therefore, all surfaces (tables, chairs, doorknobs, etc.) will be cleaned between each session. The groups will be very small and group lessons will occur in different areas. Children will have their own supplies. Additionally, we will not be able to serve snacks as a precaution, but children are allowed to bring their own. Huntington partners with families to help students build academic skills and confidence. Struggles with core skills make school a chore! Tough classes and big tests challenge and overwhelm students. Learning differences like dyslexia and ADHD demand supplemental help. As an accredited provider with 42 years experience, we evaluate each student and recommend an individualized program to meet specific goals. Then, we meet regularly with families to report progress and even visit the student's school (with your permission) to better support each student. We only hire degreed and certified teachers / experienced tutors to work with students, often in a 1:1 ratio. We help students of all ages with math, reading and writing skills as well as phonics and spelling help for younger students, often designing programs to target weaker skills as revealed by STAAR, ERB and other standardized tests. Others are preparing for an exam (ACT, SAT, PSAT, ISEE, ASVAB, TSI, etc.) or need a test proctored. Many just need help with a particular subject or assignment, like writing a college essay. Each student is unique. It is our privilege to serve Fort Worth as well as Aledo, Weatherford, Crowley, Burleson, Benbrook, Saginaw, Cleburne, etc. Our center is at 2826 S Hulen St. (near Trader Joe's), between I-20 and I-30 and just minutes off the Chisholm Trail Parkway. When your child is at the center, make good use of your time at Central Market, Whole Foods, The Shops at Clearfork, or even walking the Trinity River Trails. The center is managed by Claire Graham, Center Director and Mike Barber, Owner and Executive Director.
