You Can at Camp El Tesoro! A sharp smell of fresh cut grass, distant laughter and "ker-splash!" at the pool. Ripping open a letter that sings of home, softly talking while playing cards or painstakingly making sure each thread of a friendship bracelet is "just right"- these small moments are the glue that bind a summer at camp. Since 1934, Camp El Tesoro's overnight camp has inspired youth in all moments, quiet and loud - to DO and BE! The wide range of activities and programs create opportunities that show each camper they can achieve whatever they set their minds to. Hiking through wooded terrain to Mt. Loma, singing songs with friends around the campfire and zip lining on the challenge course are more than just fun activities; they are moments for campers to learn and thrive. Camp offers exciting times, but the moments in-between solidify the friendships and the personal growth that keep our campers coming back each year. Enroll by visting: HERE

Rooted Life Montessori is an AMS affiliate school that staffs teachers trained by AMS or AMI, in addition to their Texas Teaching Certificate. The distinguishing difference of a Montessori classroom is our individualized approach to each child’s education and our hands-on approach to learning. As each child enters our classroom, we strive to meet them where they currently are academically and guide them to further their education. This instruction is made possible by a unique classroom design of highly specialized materials within the child’s reach. Individual schooling within a group setting promotes the growth of confidence and independence as each child experiences success in school, without being compared to peers. The Montessori curriculum is over 100 years old and has passed the test of time. Our small campus is strategically located in a rural environment 15 minutes South of Ft. Worth to allow our children’s academic, emotional, social and spiritual development to unfold in a more quiet and peaceful space. Our Summer 2018 Enrichment Program is a camp that combines the 4 best camps in the Johnson County community all at one location.
