I just added a couple more ingredients to make it enjoyable for my palate. I&#8217;ve also included a few more ingredients for you to experiment with to give you a yummy flavor combo.</p>

<p>Here are the basic ingredients</p>
<ul>
<li>1 1/4 cups of filtered water</li>
<li>1T to 2T apple cider vinegar (start with less if you are not used to drinking this magical elixir)</li>
<li>1T to 3T honey</li>
<li>Juice of half a lemon</li>
<li>Dash of cayenne pepper</li>
<li>Dash of tumeric</li>
<li>Dash of cinnamon</li>
</ul>
<p><img decoding="async" class="size-large wp-image-22360 aligncenter" src="http://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-1024x768.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="600" srcset="https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-267x200.jpg 267w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-300x225.jpg 300w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-768x576.jpg 768w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-600x450.jpg 600w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-1110x831.jpg 1110w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-550x413.jpg 550w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3147-533x400.jpg 533w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>The way I like to do this is put the lemon juice, honey, and spices into the mug while I bring water to 190° in my electric kettle&#8230;.or just before boil on a stove top. We&#8217;re not brewing anything here, so no need to get the water to boiling, plus you can drink it faster if it doesn&#8217;t get too hot.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-large wp-image-22361 aligncenter" src="http://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-1024x768.jpg" alt="" width="800" height="600" srcset="https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-267x200.jpg 267w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-300x225.jpg 300w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-768x576.jpg 768w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-600x450.jpg 600w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-1110x831.jpg 1110w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-550x413.jpg 550w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/IMG_3149-533x400.jpg 533w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p>After adding the hot water, I finish by stirring it with a fork to get the honey fully dissolved, and then top with the apple cider vinegar.</p>
<p>Making this tea has become a nightly ritual for me, and sometimes I sneak in an extra cup mid-day just because I crave it so much.</p>
<p>Some other ingredients you can consider adding are:</p>
<ul>
<li>fresh ginger</li>
<li>cloves</li>
<li>nutmeg</li>
</ul>
<p>Enjoy your tea and comment below with some other herbs or ingredients you like to add!</p>
