Since 2010, philanthropic kids in our community have convened during the Colonial to raise money for charity. The Colonial Kids for a Cause have raised over $175,000 for various charities through their LemonAid stand. This year’s recipient is CASA of Tarrant County.

CASA of Tarrant County, an organization that gives abused and neglected children in foster care a trained volunteer who advocates for the children in and out of the courtroom. CASA’s mission is to speak up for the best interests of abused and neglected children, and children who are given CASA advocates spend less time in foster care and are more likely to leave foster care with a permanent family. However, due to the high rate of child abuse and neglect in our community, there is a waiting list of children who need a CASA volunteer. This is where we come in. We will be helping CASA recruit, train, and support more volunteer advocates to speak up for the needs of abused and neglected Tarrant County children.

The money raised by the LemonAid stand will help CASA to recruit, train, and support volunteer advocates to help abused and neglected children in our country.
