With election politics dominating the news and Americans preparing to go to the polls to make decisions that will affect our shared future, TCU’s Discovering Global Citizenship and the Bob Schieffer College of Communication offer Thing Global, an opportunity for our community to learn and think about the global implications of this presidential election. Think Global is an ongoing series designed to respond to emerging or urgent global topics, and to examine how these topics affect global and local communities. KERA’s Krys Boyd (managing editor and host of Think) will moderate the discussion with: Bob Schieffer (CBS News), who will join us via Virtual Voyage fresh off of his live coverage of Monday night’s debate; Dr. Carrie Currier (Political Science, TCU), who will lend her expertise in Asian Studies and comparative global politics; and Russian scholar Dr. Dmitri Dubrovski (Institute for International Education Rescue Scholar), whose work on human rights will bring important perspective to the conversation. We encourage questions throughout the event, which can be asked live and on Twitter using #TCUglobal.

This event is free and open to the public.
