This show is open to all media within reason. The only requirement is that it fits through a standard door. The artist will be responsible for delivery to and from the gallery.

Artworks must be available to be shown in the gallery from Feb. 23 – Apr. 11 2026.There will be one winner selected, receiving a $500 prize and a solo show at Giant Runt during the 2027 season.

The deadline for this application is January 31, 2026 at midnight.

Expect an email by Sunday, February 8 notifying you whether or not your work was accepted.

Jurors are Max Marshall and Cosmo Jones – Co-owners of Giant Runt Gallery

Max Marshall is an artist, curator, and educator. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art, with an emphasis in Sculpture, from Texas Christian University in 2024, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing, as well as her Bachelor of Arts in Art History, from the University of North Texas in 2015.

Cosmo was born on a sailboat in Connecticut and raised in North Texas. Educated at the University of North Texas as a painter, and with backgrounds in theater and art festival production, he has developed a distinctive approach to art-making with both intuition and conscious problem-solving.

“These grants will give artists critical financial support, which can often mean the difference between going on tour or staying home,” said Tom Martens, director of the Fort Worth Music Office. “Fort Worth-based musicians are great ambassadors for our city. We want to continue to cultivate and support our music community while promoting Fort Worth as a travel destination.”

Since 2016, Hear Fort Worth has put a spotlight on Fort Worth artists and integrated their music into promoting the city’s culture. Fort Worth musicians have been hired by Visit Fort Worth to be featured regularly in events and activations such as at meetings and convention tradeshows, media and client events and activations like Austin’s SXSW, Windy City Smokeout in Chicago, AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, Folk Alliance International in Kansas City and more.

To Qualify for the Hear Fort Worth Travel Grant Program:

• Have a minimum of 3 consecutive dates on tour
• At least 3 of the venues/cities MUST be outside of DFW (Metroplex Area)
• Grants can range from $150-$500 depending on need, venue size & distance
• Grant recipients will also receive a $150 merch credit from Printed Threads
• You must live in Fort Worth and claim Fort Worth as your hometown on all web & social media platforms
• Create a social media post sharing how the grant helped you get on the road. (Tag @VisiFortWorth & @HearFortWorth)
