“Everything I do goes back to how I approach music,” Adams said. </p>
<p>Indeed, the frenetic energy needed as a drummer is evident in his works. Adams is a relative newcomer to the visual arts. Local musicophiles may recognize him as the drummer behind both the pop-rock group The Burning Hotels and experimental indie-rockers Ice Eater. He recently left the music industry to focus on his new career as a stylist at Panther City Saloon.</p>
<p>After recently turning his eye to exploring symbols and patterns found in nature, Adams isn’t sure where that road may take him just yet. <div id="attachment_16537" style="width: 437px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-16537" src="http://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG_1383edit.jpg" alt="" width="427" height="640" class="size-full wp-image-16537" srcset="https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG_1383edit.jpg 427w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG_1383edit-133x200.jpg 133w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG_1383edit-200x300.jpg 200w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG_1383edit-267x400.jpg 267w" sizes="(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px" /><p id="caption-attachment-16537" class="wp-caption-text">Photo courtesy of Panther City Salon</p></div>
<p>“I could do that for a couple days and then move on,” he said. My art “is always evolving.” </p>
<p>The amassing of divergent techniques and influences is evident in his work. The collages he creates seem to be under constant construction, incorporating pieces of advertisement, paint, paper (which he likes because of the added texture), and other materials. Whereas some of his paintings can be more straight ahead, Adams prefers a laid-back approach. </p>
<p>“Let it be janky, you know?”<br />
<div id="attachment_16536" style="width: 1238px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-16536" src="http://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1.jpeg" alt="" width="1228" height="1599" class="size-full wp-image-16536" srcset="https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1.jpeg 1228w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-154x200.jpeg 154w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-230x300.jpeg 230w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-768x1000.jpeg 768w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-786x1024.jpeg 786w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-600x781.jpeg 600w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-550x716.jpeg 550w, https://tanglewoodmoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/image1-307x400.jpeg 307w" sizes="(max-width: 1228px) 100vw, 1228px" /><p id="caption-attachment-16536" class="wp-caption-text">Photo courtesy of Art Tooth</p></div><br />
