Tanglewood Moms is excited to share the Stockyards Rodeo Rink with our readers. The newest ice rink in Cowtown is now open in the Stockyards and is just the place to giddy up and glide!
Tanglewood Moms: How did the Rodeo Rink come to be?
The Stockyards Rodeo Rink: The Stockyards Rodeo Rink has been part of our vision for several years as we evolve the Stockyards as a new family holiday destination where memories will be made for years to come.
TWM: What dates and times will the Rodeo Rink be open?
TSRR: Our Rodeo Rink is open daily, now through February 5th
Daily skate sessions are 11AM, 1PM, 3PM, 5PM, and 7PM, with an additional 9PM session on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
TWM: How much are tickets? Does it include ice skate rentals? And how long is the session?
TSRR: Tickets are just $20, including skates. On Mondays and Tuesdays, we have our Rodeo Rink Round Up special, with all tickets just $15, including skates. Each session is 90 minutes long, but you can come and go as you please within your session.
TWM: What ages groups is the rink geared for?
TSRR: The Rodeo Rink is perfect for any adult and child over 4 years old.
TWM: Are there concessions available for purchase?
TSRR: We have plenty of food and beverage concessions available, including anything from soft pretzels to cotton candy, and sodas to spiked hot cider. And don’t miss our Avoca Cocoa and Coffee Corral!
TWM: Where do attendees park for easiest access to the Rodeo Rink?
TSRR: We have plenty of parking available near the rink. Lots 2, 5 and 6 will give you the easiest access.
TWM: Will you have any special events happening in the Stockyards to coincide with the Rodeo Rink dates or for the rink specifically?
TSRR: There’s always something going on at the Stockyards! The month of December we have plenty of festive activities, including photos with Cowboy Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, Coliseum events like championship rodeos and the Very Merry Country Christmas concerts, plus live music and daily cattle drives – both of which you can enjoy on the Rodeo Rink!
TWM: Is the rink available as a venue for private events?
