Fall Means More Than Football
It’s Fall in Horned Frog country so that means TCU Football, right?
Well, yes, but we’ve got a little secret to share. While we absolutely love supporting those awesome gridiron Frogs, TCU is home to many Division 1 sports teams, all of which compete at the highest level in the country. We can’t cover them all here but we can tell you that if you haven’t been to a TCU Soccer or Volleyball game, you are missing out. Big time.
It’s hard to say enough good things about these games. There are no other local sports venues we know of where you can get as close to top athletes in action as you can at a TCU soccer or volleyball game. Hearing the players calling to each other, setting up plays, striking the ball, making impossible saves and spectacular blocks is exciting and exhilarating. Getting close makes you really feel a part of the game and a part of the team. You know the players hear you when you call them by name and cheer them on. Sometimes you can even see how it urges them on. That’s why the home crowd really can make the difference in a close game.
These games are also super kid-friendly. There are usually some participation events either before or after the games where the kids get to run on the field or court, meet the players and hang out with SuperFrog. There are concessions available and the entire atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. You can also take the whole family without breaking the bank. The tickets and concessions are affordable, parking is easy and you won’t have to walk a million miles.
Speaking of ticket prices, TCU offers some pretty incredible deals on season tickets for these sports. If your kids are at all interested in sports, or pursuing athletics in college, this is an unparalleled way to get them a literal front row seat to what it’s like to compete at the highest level in collegiate sports.
Now for the biggest little secret. TCU offers amazing party packages at Soccer and Volleyball games that are perfect for birthdays or end of season team parties. Volleyball parties start at only $100 and include tickets, cupcakes, and souvenirs for 10 kids as well as a signed volleyball for the birthday boy or girl. Soccer parties start at just $150 and include tickets, cupcakes and souvenirs for 10 as well as pre-game tunnel appearance and PA and scoreboard recognition.
Whether you are booking a party, buying season passes or just looking to kill a couple hours doing something really fun, it’s very tough to beat a TCU soccer or volleyball game. The best part of all of this, though is that you can usually take in a soccer game and volleyball game during the week and still go to Amon G. Carter stadium on Saturday for the football game. As a community we have an incredible opportunity to support a lot of amazing student athletes who work hard day in and day out to be competitive on the field or court as well as in the classroom. These are great kids who deserve to have stands full of supportive fans.
