We take our kids to the small creek that runs along Overton Park East/West. It’s at the end the south end of the park right before Overton Park West turns into Inwood Road. Email us at tanglewoodmoms(at)gmail(dot)com and we can send you an aerial shot. My husband says there is perch in the creek.
It’s a great place to take a 5 year old!

Victoria, are there any catch and release ponds/lakes that would be a good place to learn to fish and have some activity for a 5 year old? My son Ashton is not ready for a day on a fishing boat, but catch and release is something we believe is doable. We have been to the catch and release days and Bass Pro, but now looking for something a little more organic. Thanks, Karen
