Trinity Valley School Announces New Head of Upper School
Trinity Valley School announced that Kyle Kahuda will be the next head of the Upper School, assuming his role on July 1, 2020.
Kyle began his career in education at Chatham Hall in Virginia where he taught science and eventually assumed the role of department chair. He served as director of the student life program; worked in college counseling; and taught AP Biology, earth science, and environmental science. He then accepted the position of head of the Upper School at Chase Collegiate School, where he continued to teach science and directed all aspects of the Upper School program. He is currently the head of school at FlexSchool in New Haven, CT where he is responsible for all aspects of the daily program in a community serving gifted and twice-exceptional students.
An independent school graduate, Kyle attended the Pomfret School and then went on to receive his BA in Biology from the University of Richmond and his MEd in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia.
Kyle possesses a calm, thoughtful, and intelligent presence and clearly had the ability to successfully guide the Upper School division. His sentiment, “It is my purpose to create, nurture, and sustain a culture (or an environment, if you will) where faculty and students alike are encouraged and empowered to be their best,” resonates with the TVS community.
TVS looks forward to welcoming Kyle, his wife, Pam and their two children, Kaden (age 10) and Maura (age 13) this summer.
