Spring is here, and Fort Worth is ready for it! What a great month to get out and DO ALL THE THINGS! We’ve gathered some of the most fun things to do in Cowtown this month, so be sure to bookmark this page for whenever you need some inspiration!
Fort Worth Music Festival
March 2-4
Historic Stockyards
The Fort Worth Music Festival & Conference at the Stockyards, a new music networking conference for aspiring agents, managers, promoters, and emerging local Texas-based artists, will take place across multiple venues at the Stockyards in Fort Worth, TX, featuring panel discussions and keynote speakers with well-established and highly respected live music industry executives, networking opportunities, workshops, and live performances.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Presents “Wild Symphony” with an Instrument Petting Zoo

Well it’s official, you’re favorite grilled cheese maker, Scotty Scott, is serving up his tasty, buttery, cheesily delicious sandwiches to the public! Cheezy Does It grilled cheese truck is having its grand opening this Saturday March 4th at 1pm. We’ve setup shop next to The Holly wine bar and will be pairing tasty grilled cheeses with amazing wines Thursdays – Sundays.
Stage West’s First Tuesday: Tips & Tricks for Gardening in North Texas

Join Tarrant County Master Gardeners Loretta Bailey and John Cheney for a presentation on general gardening dos and don’ts. Set yourself up for gardening success! They will talk about house plants, trees, fertilizing, as well as common mistakes that kill plants and methods to make gardening easier.
American Athletic Conference Basketball Men’s & Women’s Championship

Dickies Arena
The American Athletic Conference (AAC) will hold its men’s and women’s basketball tournaments at Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena for the third consecutive year. The women’s championship will be played March 6-9, followed by the men March 9-12.

Artist David H. Gibson will talk with Carter curator John Rohrbach about his works featured in the exhibition Morning Light: Photographs of David H. Gibson. Following their conversation, both speakers will participate in a Q&A.
Dog Days in the Garden Including Movie Night

Fort Worth Botanic Garden
This weekend is bound to be a doggone good time! Enjoy two full days of hanging out with your pup in the beauty of the Garden on March 11-12. Dog Days will be held during regular Garden hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), with regular admission for humans and an additional $5 per dog. Hydration stations for dogs will be provided by the Garden across campus. Cap off your Dog Days experience with a FREE movie night on Saturday, March 11 on the Horseshoe Lawn featuring Disney’s 2021 film Cruella. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and pups, all free of charge. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., and the movie will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m.

Texas Ballet Theater Presents Modern Masterpieces

Enjoy a blend of neoclassical and contemporary ballet in this mixed repertoire performance, featuring three stunning ballets. Opening night in each city will be Marilyn Night, featuring pre-show photo opportunities with Marilyn Monroe tribute artist Jami Duprey and a Marilyn lookalike contest.

Fort Worth African American Roots Music Festival
March 18
Southside Preservation Hall
The Fort Worth African American Roots Music Festival (FWAAMFest) was created to highlight an often forgotten and neglected piece of history: the central role of blackness in American roots music. FWAAMFest aims to broaden the local arts scene and place Fort Worth on the map as a place to go for traditional music lovers, and a site where community members can engage in Black reclamation of this history. It is the only major city festival of its kind that is both Black-led and centered around Black artists.
Fort Worth Opera’s McCammon Voice Competition

2 Dope Queens Phoebe Robinson returns to Amphibian Stage after a sold-out residency in 2019! While Robinson is best known for her work as a comedian and performer, she is also a New York Times bestselling author and acclaimed producer. The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival is North Texas’ most celebrated cuisine and beverage festival, taking place over four days and nights in venues around our thriving culinary community. The festival’s growing roster of talented chefs and food artisans, as well as craft brewers and distinctive vintners, bring a range of tastes, styles and methods that reflect the diversity of the city itself. But it’s more than good food and good fun – it’s a good cause. That’s because proceeds from the festival go to the Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds for local grant programs and culinary scholarships. To date, the Foundation raised $325,000 for grants and scholarships supporting deserving culinary students from Fort Worth.
