Zyn22 Invites You, Dear Readers, to a Meet and Greet!
Hey friends! Remember that one blog a few blogs ago where I said I’d tell you about the cycling studio, Zyn22, in a later blog? (Boy, that’s lots of “blogs”!) Well, that time has come, and I am EXTREMELY GIDDY ABOUT IT! When you believe in and have a passion for something, you can’t wait to share it with anyone willing to listen, right? The fact that you are currently reading this tells me you are willing to listen/read. So here it goes…
Wikipedia defines COMMUNITY as something that is “commonly considered a social unit (a group of people) who share something in common, such as norms, values, identity, and often a sense of place that is situated in a given geographical area (e,g, a village, town, or neighborhood).” I believe with all my heart that Fort Worth is a place where there is a community like no other. Many of you probably describe living here the same way I do: ”It’s like a small town in a big city”. I think this town provides so many wonderful opportunities for people to connect, help, and serve one another not to only enhance each others lives, but to give fulfillment to our own lives as well.
One of the opportunities in our community that I have been blessed to be a part of is becoming an instructor for Zyn22. This boutique indoor cycling studio is like no other. We provide a 45-minute, full body workout that not only increases your body’s tone, but your mind as well. Through music, movement, and inspiration, we build a community within our classes. A community that learns to understand the process of what it takes to motivate ourselves, challenge ourselves, and overcome our own self-doubt. It is so cool to see the transformation of so many of our riders, inside and out!
So why “22” in Zyn22? Well, it’s been said that it takes 21 days to create a habit. What they don’t tell you is what happens on day 22. Zyn22 believes “that extra day takes fitness from a mundane routine to so much more.” They go on to say, “22 is a key number in the makeup of a perfect circle. A circle represents perfect balance. 22 isn’t just a number. It’s not just a part of our name. It’s our promise to help you achieve that center we all so deeply desire.”
Soooo, here’s an idea Zyn22 and I came up with to build on that idea of community! I would LOVE the opportunity to get to know my Tanglewood Moms population better, so Zyn22 is going to offer a private and free “Tanglewood Moms Ride” on Thursday, October 20 at 11:00 am. Yours truly will be instructing the ride. Our facility provides clip-in shoes, a towel, and bottle of water. There are full women’s and men’s locker room available if you would like to change or shower afterwards. We will also be providing free shirts to commemorate our “community experience”, snacks for post-ride munchies, other studio perks you’ll hear about when you sign up, AND the thing I’m MOST excited about is the opportunity to meet you and hear your thoughts on health and fitness! Now, I realize there may be some of you who aren’t as super-excited about this community get-together as I am, but I want you to know that I realize it takes courage and sacrifice to try something outside of your comfort zone. It’s going to be fun. You don’t have to be perfect. We will sweat, move to the beat together, and give high fives at the end for having experienced your first (and hopefully not last!) Zyn22 ride! Those of you who have already tried us out, of course you can sign up! Please encourage your friends to do so with you!
We all have to start somewhere. We all have the potential to do great things to take care of our bodies. I’m ready to meet you wherever you are physically or emotionally. You don’t have to already be “in shape” to start a fitness routine. Remember… we’re stronger when we support each other. Let’s do this!!
If you’d like to sign up for this fun Tanglewood Moms Meet and Greet, please email your RSVP of “Yes!” to laceym@zyn22.com by Tuesday, October 18. I look so forward to meeting you!
Blessings and health!
