A Lone Star Christmas at the Gaylord Texan

You may recall last year we told you about the unbelievable Winter Wonderland that the Gaylord Texan transforms into during November and December.

Well, it’s happening again this year and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever. This is the 15^th year that the Gaylord Texan has put on the Lone Star Christmas and they are celebrating in style. The best part is they’re inviting all of us to join them in the most fantastic holiday spectacle this side of the North Pole!

With over two million Christmas lights, two million pounds of hand-carved ice, two million pounds of real snow, and a 6,000 square foot outdoor ice skating rink, Lone Star Christmas is truly a unique and amazing experience.

Beginning November 9, 2018 and running through January 1, 2019, Gaylord Texan will offer a variety of holiday activities, live entertainment, and grand displays to celebrate the season and delight Christmas lovers of all ages.

The 17,500-square-foot attraction will awe and inspire you. Inside the ICE! exhibit, you will get to experience favorite scenes from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer all hand-carved by master artisans and even have a chance to slide down the ice slides during your visit. And since the entire place is kept at a wintry 9 degrees, the kind folks at Gaylord Texan will supply you with warm parkas for your visit. We suggest you also wear warm socks, close-toed footwear, gloves, and a hat. After ICE! you can take thrilling rides down the twelve-lane snow-tubing hill, travel through the North Pole, and even sit in Santa’s sleigh.

This year the Gaylord Texan has added two super-fun and challenging Holiday Escape Rooms. Escape The North Pole ends you on an adventure with Mrs. Claus to solve puzzles and riddles to make your escape. Top Secret Elf Mission will see you helping Santa’s elves follow clues to complete their secret mission!
