Preservation Is the Art of the City
Preservation Is the Art of the City® is a show and sale of paintings by talented local artists who were selected by a jury of Historic Fort Worth, Inc.
This year’s show is being held in the mid-century modern office building at 500 West 7th Street, now known as First on 7th. The building was designed by the Chicago architectural firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill with Preston Geren, Jr. Many know the building by the distinctive sculpture on the 7th Street Plaza designed by Isamu Noguchi.

Author Ron Tyler, PhD, is the previous director of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art and a former director of the Texas State Historical Association at the University of Texas at Austin.
