If you are looking for some family memory-making fun, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad and the Museum of the American Railroad are partnering together to bring you A Day Out with Thomas. This annual event lets you go on an actual train ride pulled by the most-beloved engine Thomas! There is not only a 25-minute train ride but also tons of other activities planned. Even if someone in the family isn’t a fan of Thomas, there will be something for everyone. I suggest showing up at least an hour before your scheduled departure, so you have plenty of time to catch your train and then plan on sticking around afterward to participate in all the other fun activities. Throughout the day there will be interactive stage performances, a HUGE model train layout, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, and more! Children under two ride for free! Everything is included in the price, even the parking! Hurry up and get your tickets here. Times are selling out quick, and the last train leaves the station on April 10th. Tell Sir Topham Hatt I said, “Hi!” It will be so much fun!
We have great news! One lucky Tanglewood Moms reader will win a 4-pack of tickets! The tickets are for Friday, April 8th at 9am. You will need to arrive around 8am to have enough time to park, so if you are available at that time, leave a comment on this blog with your kids’ (or yours!) favorite Island of Sodor engine: Thomas, Percy, Emily, Toby, or any other of Thomas’ friends! The winner will be announced April 6th at 8pm.
Good luck, everybody!
