It’s coming! Valentine’s Day. It happens to be a personal favorite of mine because it’s the day I chose to marry my husband. It is the day we should celebrate love, and I’m sure you will agree that we could all use a little more love these days. This Valentine’s also marks our 10 year anniversary which is a big milestone. We made it! We made it through having 4 children, several job changes, several business start-ups, successes and failures. There were days I wasn’t sure we would, but our love stayed the course. Thank God. We have each other and I am incredibly grateful for that. Embarking on her 7th venture, Victoria Wise has blatantly ignored the saying “3rd times a charm”. Tanglewood Moms stemmed from a love of the community and a desire to connect more of us together. It would be great if Steven and I won this giveaway. We are new parents and in the process of selling our house. It’s a hectic place to be and yet Steven manages to do all the house fixing before we put it in the market, he works 40 plus hours at alcon, and comes home no matter how exhausted ready to play with our daughter and read her a bed time story. He is truly a special man. Our families live an hour away so we don’t get many date nights so this would be a great opportunity.

My husband and I will celebrate 20 years this year. We have been through ups and downs but he has remained solid. He’s a devoted dad, son and husband. He gave up working full time to be part time and be a stay at home dad to help with our daughter and our aging parents .
My husband Chris always puts our 2 boys and myself before himself. He works his butt off, 80+ hours a week, so that we are well taken care of and so that I can always be available to our boys. He is the best daddy and husband, hands down.
Chris works hard to provide for our family and then comes home and plays with, reads to, and helps with our 3 kids until bedtime. And, he NEVER complains! I am so thankful for his patience and unconditional love.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, I rejoice that my greatest lifelong “love” is my dear, beautiful mom. I celebrate her sacrificial and deeply unconditional love on February 14th…and every day of the year. I love how servant-hearted my husband is! He has gone above and beyond, especially lately as we have a 13 month old and a new baby due in August! He serves me far greater than I have served him lately and it’s all out of love. He loves sports too which is another reason why I love him. And he’s musical! He sings and works as a minister of music so he stays very busy! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

My husband loves me when I am my flawed, overeager, too-old-to-do-that self. I often complain that I “annoy myself” trying to accomplish the1,000 to-do’s on my daily list, and he always offers me a sense of grace that reminds me to rejoice in simple accomplishments…. like putting the dishes in the washer, or getting a quick walk in that day. Little kids are surely the focus around here, but he always gets me to focus on him in a positive way. He also does bedtime with our son every night he is home from work, and watching him love our kids through that commitment really says a lot more than “I love you” to this overworked and tired mother.
